Arctic Blast In Manhattan

The wind skims the metallic Hudson.
Riverine, it crests the West Side.
Ashore it rushes through concrete channels,
Freezing breath into angel hair.
Morning sunlight becomes shredded tinsel.
It hangs in the bone-chill air.
